SIGNAL FIRE (SNOW PATROL)
The perfect words never crossed my mind,
Cause there was nothin’ in there but you.
I felt every ounce of me screaming out,
But the sound was trapped deep in me…
There you are standing right in front of me
There you are standing right in front of me
All this fear falls away to leave me naked,
Hold me close, cause I need you to guide me to safety.
In the confusion and the aftermath,
You are my signal fire.
The only resolution and the only joy,
Is the faint spark of forgiveness in your eyes.
No I won’t wait forever… No I won’t wait forever… No I won’t wait forever…

Oh simple thing where have you gone
I’m getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you’re gonna let me in
I’m getting tired and I need somewhere to begin
And if you have a minute why don’t we go
Talk about it somewhere only we know?
This could be the end of everything
So why don’t we go
Somewhere only we know?
Vengeance is having a videotape planted in your soul that cannot be turned off.
It plays the painful scene over and over again inside your mind…
And each time it plays you feel the clap of pain again…
Forgiving turns off the videotape of pained memory…
Forgiving sets you free.

The time I asked you, “Bakit ka masaya?”
You answered, “Kasi kasama ko ang mahal ko.”
Then you asked me, “Ba’t ikaw parang malungkot?”
“Kasi kasama ng taong MAHAL MO ang taong MAHAL KO.” :’(

Just when Pac-Man willed to wear YELLOW BOXING GLOVES to advocate the FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION…

Jinkee Pacquiao flashed YELLOW DIAMONDS in shining and shimmering 7 MILLION PESOS.
IRONIC YELLOW, eh?
Of course I’m talking about ‘the’ Carlos “DAMASO” Celdran. The one who literally ‘whoah-ed’ me during last night’s ABS-CBN HARAPAN (RH Bill: Ipasa o Ibasura?). Firstly, I definitely was not a fan of his rallying inside a church. Yes, during a mass. I’m not Catholic but man, that was off the hook! Nonetheless, I was not made less than impressed with his feat on Harapan. I was a believer right away only because of two things he said: Sense and Truth. Two things which are already fossilized for many ANTI-RH Bill advocates.
So this is how I’m gonna take the RH Bill. In the perspective of Damaso.
Last night’s (Harapan) poll results were revealing. Not to mention, frustrating. 35% stood by the legalization of RH Bill but a great 65% stood on the other end. I call it revealing because it speaks of a nation that is, and could either be, an ignorant nation or a nation who choose to be ignorant.
Damaso: “Let the RH Bill start doing its work. Or get out of the way! Because if you have no better solutions, then you are just part of the problem.”
Having said that, the debate should be over! Arguments are simple: RH Bill is an option. And being an option, ultimately it becomes a solution. A solution, like what Damaso said, to a 16 year old problem. 16 years of neglect and apathy, which resulted to poverty, abuse of women and children, increasing maternal deaths, malnutrition, early pregnancy and overpopulation. The politicians who deny these catastrophic problems to the nation might have spent their entire lives in a mansion of gold and silver dumbness. They keep on talking about this and that but what? They only know one thing: Keep. On. Talking. So here’s the very rare event that finally we acted upon a problem, that finally we provided an alternative solution, that finally throughout History we once again showed concern to this dying country, but what do we do? Big time mudslinging!
Come on, Juan. Enough of the talk. And the fallacies. And the nonsense. We are already served with sumptuous food upon the dining table. Don’t tell me we’ll just look at it and talk about how it smells? It’s time we take a bite! If you don’t like the food, then suggest another recipe. And if you know nothing about making another recipe, then zip your mouth and don’t talk shit! We are hungry for a solution. We are starving for over a decade. Will we die without having not tasted the food served on our table? Must we die ignorant? Should you answer yes, then that proves that the problem is not with the food. It’s with YOU.
